Enform: Your Partner in Safety

Enform, the safety association for Canada's upstream oil and gas industry, is the advocate and leading resource for the continuous improvement of industry's safety performance. Established by industry for industry, Enform helps companies achieve their safety goals by promoting shared safety practices and providing effective training, expert audit services and professional advice.  Our vision is no work-related incidents or injuries in the Canadian upstream oil and gas industry. 

Our mandate is to develop safe work practices through a range of safety services and resources, including Industry Recommended Practices (IRPs), safety alerts and updates, COR certification and Petroleum Safety Conferences.

Our portfolio of industry-leading safety training programs covers general and operational safety and petroleum fundamentals. Each year, more than 150,000 Enform students update their skills with:

• Self-paced e-learning and CD-based programs

• Video conference classes and seminars

• Hands-on and classroom instruction at one of Enform's four campuses or from one of over 600 approved partner instructors.

Our four campuses are located in centres of oilpatch activity: Calgary, Nisku, Fort St. John and Regina. We also franchise several of our courses to outside instructors to make consistent, high-quality programming available throughout the industry. In addition, Enform works with local colleges throughout Canada to provide training courses specific to the petroleum industry.

CERTIFICATION

• Small Employers Certificate of Recognition (SECOR): for employers with less than 10 workers

• Certificate of Recognition (COR): certifying partner for the petroleum industry

• Petroleum Competency Program: using competency standards to assess and certify individuals
