What is a Certificate of Recognition or COR?

The Certificate of Recognition (COR) program is an initiative that recognizes employers who implement and maintain a health and safety management system that meet established provincial standards. Companies with a health and safety management system are able to identify and assess their workplace hazards and then systematically control the risks to their employees and overall operations. As a result, health and safety management systems can create a culture of proactive workplace safety.

As the Certifying Partner of the COR program for the Canadian Oil and Gas Industry, Enform offers two COR types:

  • Regular Certificate of Recognition (COR) applies to companies of 11 or more employees
  • Small Employer Certificate of Recognition (SECOR) applies to for employers with 10 or fewer employees. The SECOR process has been developed to accommodate the needs of small businesses
