Workshops and CID
Pre-conference and Post-confernce workshops are offered as part
of the "Raising the Bar" Conference. The Certified
Instructor Diploma Classroom Management course is
available to participants and NO charge.
This course is offered on a first come/first serve basis and is
scheduled with available sessions on both Sunday and Tuesday
afternoons. Participants must specify which session they are
interested in attending during the registration process.

The following provides a brief description of the Classroom
Management course.
Outcome: The participant will be able to describe effective
classroom management theory and technique.
Objectives:
- Identify effective classroom management techniques
- Assess effective student guidelines/rules
- Describe conflict styles:
1. Competing
2. Accommodating
3. Avoiding
4. Compromising/Sharing
5. Collaborating
- Assess the motivating factors that contribute to conflict in
the classroom
- Identify effective conflict management solutions applicable to
an adult teaching and learning environment
- Addressing the demands and opportunities of 21rst Century
