Certified Instructor Diploma Program Equivalency
Challenge Process Update
As Enform continues to realize its' instructional quality
assurance initiative - instructional audits, site visits,
discussions, etc. - we have identified that our instructors carry a
diversity of instructional backgrounds and experience levels;
novice to degreed. As well several instructors have submitted
their instructional backgrounds and educational qualifications for
assessment and potential CID equivalency. As a result of these
inquiries, we determined the current Equivalency Process required
further clarity. We want to ensure our instructors have a fair and
equitable process for challenging these requirements.
The purpose of the Certified Instructor Diploma Program is to
provide professional development opportunities that will add to the
candidate's instructional repertoire. Enform acknowledges the
varying levels of teaching experience and instructional expertise
among our instructors and is committed to ensuring their needs are
met.
Enform offers all instructors an opportunity to challenge the
CID requirements. The Equivalency Process is outlined on the Enform
website at http://enform.ca/courses/CID/Equivalency-Challenge.aspx.
The Equivalency Challenge Process is as follows:
- Instructors must provide formal documentation of successful
equivalent course completion. Formal documentation includes a
certificate, diploma, or degree from a recognized educational
institution.
- Instructors must take a comprehensive challenge exam that
addresses all aspects of the CID course material. A grade of 70% or
greater must be achieved on each section of the challenge exam -
relating to each of the CID courses - to obtain each course
equivalency. For each section, where a grade of 70% or greater has
not been achieved, the instructor will be required to complete the
relevant course.
- Instructors are expected to complete the hands-on classroom
audit/practicum assessment to obtain full CID certification.
Enform is obligated in providing excellence within its
instructional environments. We will continue to motivate our
instructors to improve themselves and remain a qualified and
effective instructional force.
Thank you again for your inquiry and we trust the above offers
clarity and insight into the CID requirements. Please direct your
