Executives

Cameron MacGillivaryCameron MacGillivray, P.Eng, ICD.D 
President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) 
As president and CEO, Cameron is responsible for Enform's overall leadership – including its strategic and operational performance.

Before his appointment to Enform, Cameron served as president and CEO of Endev Energy, a public junior oil and gas company.  Before that, he worked for more than 20 years at EnCana, where he ascended to senior vice-president of international, commercial and new ventures.

Over the course of his career, Cameron has led a number of change management initiatives and provided merger and acquisition counsel to a variety of clients in the oil and gas sector.

Cameron holds a master’s degree in engineering from Dalhousie University and an MBA from the University of Calgary.  He is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Cameron believes that, even though Enform is a non-profit organization, it should run like a business, with clear objectives and priorities, as well as the ability to measure performance.

One of Cameron’s main priorities is to raise awareness for oil and gas safety, both within the industry, and to the public. By spearheading safety initiatives such the Executive Task Force on Safety Culture, Cameron is taking an integral role in supporting safety in the industry.

Jeff RoseJeff Rose
Senior Vice President, Operations and Chief Operating Officer
As senior vice president of operations, and chief operating officer, Jeff is responsible for Enform’s operational activities and information technology.

His group is accountable for the development and delivery of a wide range of health, safety and technology training courses, certification programs, guidance documents and events.

Jeff is a ‘career oilman’, with more than 30 years experience in the industry. He has worked both domestically and internationally – including a long stint with PanCanadian Energy Corporation, where he rose to assume responsibility for all international and offshore efforts, and participated in the discovery of some of the largest fields in the past 25 years.

More recently, before joining Enform, he worked with Encana, where he served as senior vice-president of the North American frontier and Europe, as well as vice-president of the Bighorn Business Unit.  

Jeff holds a bachelor of science honours in geophysics from the University of Manitoba and an MBA from the University of Calgary.

Jeff believes that management has a crucial role to play in ensuring that all workers are well trained, well supervised, well prepared and well rested, so that everyone goes home at the end of the day.

Paula CampkinPaula M.A. Campkin, MBA, CRSP, ICD.D
Vice President, Standards and Industry Initiatives and Chief Safety Officer
As vice president of standards and industry initiatives and chief safety officer for Enform, Paula provides strategic leadership over the development of safety training and initiatives to reduce injury and illness in the Canadian oil and gas industry.

Prior to joining Enform in 2007, Paula gained valuable experience in the in the areas of human resources and environmental health and safety working in the oil and gas, construction and utilities sectors.

Paula holds a bachelor degree (BA) in psychology from the University of Calgary and a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from the Haskayne School of Business. She also holds certificates in occupational health & safety from the University of Alberta and project management from SAIT. Throughout her career, Paula has attained the following professional designations; Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), Canadian Risk Management (CRM) and Institute of Corporate Directors Designation (ICD.D).

Paula has served as a Governor on the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) since 2013 and is the outgoing chair of BCRSP professional conduct and enforcement committees. In January 2016, Paula assumed the executive role as Secretary-Treasurer of the BCRSP.

Paula believes that Enform has a crucial role to play in improving safety, not just within individual organizations, but across the entire oil and gas industry.

Carol HowesCarol Howes
Vice President, Communications and Petroleum Labour Market Information (PetroLMI)
As vice president of communications and the PetroLMI division of Enform, Carol is responsible for stakeholder relations, brand and communications management. She is also responsible for providing leadership and strategic oversight in all aspects of management and operation for the PetroLMI division.

Prior to joining Enform, Carol worked as a business journalist; as vice-president of a communications consulting firm; as manager of media relations for one of Canada’s largest energy companies; and as vice-president of strategic communications for a large, fully-integrated national public affairs firm.

More than 30 years of experience in all aspects of business gives Carol a unique perspective on the workforce issues of the oil and gas industry. Carol currently serves on the board of directors of the Lougheed House as well as Hospice Calgary. 

Among Carol’s main priorities at PetroLMI, is to increase the division’s focus on its mandate. She believes that collaboration with industry, government, educators and training agencies is the best way to support and advance the development of a sustainable, skilled and productive workforce in the upstream and midstream oil and gas sectors.

RickRick Shatosky
Vice President, Finance and Chief Privacy Officer
As Vice President, Finance and Chief Privacy Officer, Rick is responsible for Enform’s accounting, contracts, business analysis and the operation of its Calgary facilities.

Prior to joining Enform in 2003, Rick was a Senior Accountant at Price Waterhouse, then Controller at Indel-Davis Ltd. where his strong analysis skills and leadership resulted in significant cost efficiencies for the organization.

Rick earned his bachelor degree in Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified General Accountant. When not attempting to keep up to his four grandsons, Rick enjoys travelling, hiking, cycling and cheering on the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
