The Certified Instructor Diploma Equivalency (CIDEC) procedure is premised on a competency-based model used through the oil and gas industry as well as within the college and university systems. The model stipulates a review of courses (components) taken by the candidate at the course description level, referenced to the Certified Instructor Diploma Program (CID) components descriptions - outcomes and objectives - available from Enform. These are available through the Enform website.

The submitted course outlines cross-referenced to the existing CID course outcomes, identify which courses within the CID Program align and may be challenged. This model is premised upon Enform's Challenge options currently existing within its course offerings.

Course challenge criteria:

  • Requires candidates to have a completed course administrative review
  • Completion of examination challenge for the respective CID course

Note: Candidate must pass the evaluation component(s) - exams and/or assessments - successfully, with a grade of 70% or greater.

Upon successful completion of the respective CID course challenge, equivalency will be granted and logged within the Enform registration system. Please note: For existing Enform instructors, there will be no charge for this service.

Note: Submission of previously taken course certificates does not meet the above criteria.

As part of Enform Quality Assurance initiative, it is the responsibility of the granting organization to provide a standard that meets industry, association, and accredited institutional criteria in the granting and management of equivalency standards.
