Become a Franchisee
Enform franchises several of our courses to outside instructors to ensure consistent, high-quality programming is available throughout the industry. Enform also works with local colleges throughout Canada to provide Enform-specific petroleum industry training courses.

To become Franchise Instructors, potential applicants should reference the applicable application form for pre-requisite and process requirements. If the applicant is already an Enform Franchise instructor for another subject, the applicant should contact the applicable Program Manager for more information.

• Light-Duty Vehicles - Driver Improvement Instructor (four day program)
• General Oilfield Driver Improvement Instructor (four day program)

• H₂S Alive® Instructor (five-day program)
• Fall Rescue for Rig Work (prerequisite: Fall Protection for Rig Work Instructor)

Standards
Standards for Enform franchise instructor prerequisites and training are established by joint industry/government certification committees, specific to each course.

Overview of Instructor Prerequisites
An overview of prerequisites to becoming an instructor for each of these franchise courses is included in the following table.

In addition to the course-specific requirements listed in the table, all instructor candidates must:

• Complete and submit the appropriate instructor application form to Enform, with all required attachments.
• Have completed the applicable franchise course, not more than six months prior to the instructor training.
• Have completed all prerequisites, at least two weeks prior to the instructor training except for the Fall Protection Instructor Practicum which requires four weeks prior to the course.

Maintaining your franchise status
To maintain instructor certification, franchise instructors will stay in good standing by following the Enform Instructor Standards and must teach a minimum number of courses per year.

Note: H₂S Alive instructors must also attend a refresher course every three (3) years to maintain their certification. This will also be the case with other course instructors in the future (Chainsaw, Oilfield Driver and Fall Protection).
