The Enform Nisku Campus hosts our hands-on training labs built to the exacting specifications and standards of the Canadian petroleum industry. The facility's state-of-the-art equipment and design have earned it a reputation as the finest petroleum training facility in the world.

Training Labs

Gas Production
Our gas facility provides hands-on skills training for field and gas plant operators. This facility operates with natural gas and is designed to allow students to learn on the actual equipment used in commercial facilities. The production of gas, water and liquid hydrocarbons can be processed through any and all of the major systems of the plant, including wellsite dehydration, amine sweetening, refrigeration, and compression.

Gas Utility
Built in cooperation with NAIT, the utility gas facility allows learners to practice hands-on skills in meter installation and repair, line detection, leak detection, regulation, metering and odourization.

Oil Production
Enform has a complete oil facility used to train students on the effective, efficient and safe operation of an oil and gas producing battery. This facility simulates the production of oil, water and gas emulsions from four producing wells: a flowing well, a rod pumping well, an electric submersible pumping well and an electric surface driven rotary pumping well. The produced fluid is actually processed through operational, fully functional equipment.

Safety Training
Students get hands-on rescue training in our confined space entry-training tank and safety training facility. Effective simulations of difficult rescue situations greatly enhance the learning experience.

Well Control
Train on one of two wells drilled and cased to 2,000 meters with a natural gas injection and a circulation system. Natural gas is injected into the wells and through a complex computer controlled system; a kick can be simulated for the student in complete safety. The student will take control of the well from the time the gas kick is identified until the gas is sent to the flare for a spectacular finale.
The surface equipment includes a complete mud system, choke manifold, degassers, flow monitoring and PVT systems, and driller's controls. In addition to the two test wells, there is a 1,100 metre cased well for the storage of natural gas to be used in the well control training process.

Enform can provide certification for the Canadian market and the international market through the International Well Control Forum (IWCF) and Wellcap.
