Crossing Borders Executive Summary

January 8, 2016

As the safety association for the oil and gas industry, Enform helps companies stay informed of and comply with occupational health and safety (OH&S) legislation. To facilitate that work, Enform retained Bennett Jones LLP to review certain provincial statutes, regulations and codes regarding OH&S in the four western provinces.

Bennett Jones has provided Enform with a legal opinion regarding aspects of the roles and responsibilities of owners, prime contractors and contractors with respect to certain provincial OH&S legislation in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Crossing Borders: Is your company compliant with OH&S legislation in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba?  summarizes the critical differences among British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba legislation in terms of applicable jurisdiction, work site, and legal roles and responsibilities at the work site, as of December 10, 2015.

Crossing Borders offers considerable value to oil and gas industry companies as an important tool to work towards compliance with OH&S legislation in all four western provinces.

Available Formats: Download the Executive Summary PDF. Printed version is also available in our store (see link at top of page).
