  • Participate on the WorkSafe Alberta Road Safety at Work committee - These meetings are part of the Alberta Traffic Safety Plan – co sponsored by Alberta Transportation and WorkSafe Alberta. http://employment.alberta.ca/
  • Communicate and Promote the following online resources and tool to employers:
    • Driving for Work: Developing Safe Practices for Employers and Workers and the Hazard Assessment for driving eLearning Awareness Program support the Road Safety at Work Strategy. These resources include a best practice guide and online tool aimed at preventing and reducing the approximately one-third of workplace fatalities that occur each year in Alberta as the result of motor vehicle incidents.
    • They were developed in partnership with Alberta Transportation, Alberta Centre for Injury Control & Research (ACICR), Alberta Motor Association (AMA), Alberta Motor Transport Association (AMTA), and Alberta Road Builders & Heavy Construction Association (ARHCA).
  • Communicate and promote the Alberta Traffic Safety Plan and send out a monthly information alert that is consistent with the messages in the Alberta Traffic Safety Plan Calendar
  • Communicate and promote the WorkSafeBC Resource Roads safety program and the Introduction to Safe Practices on Resource Roads for BC Resource Roads Users. http://www2.worksafebc.com/Portals/Petroleum/ResourceRoads.asp

    • Vacuum and Hydrovac Truck Operator Improvement
  • Publish the Vehicle Recovery and Towing Guide:http://www.enform.ca/publications/guidelinesandbestpractices/vehiclerecovery.aspx
  • Inform employers that participate in the Certificate of Recognition (COR) program that the 2010 Enform COR audit Protocol – Element B Hazard Identification and Assessment, Question 2 C 1; guides the auditor to consider traffic and driving hazards where appropriate.
