IRP # 16 HAS BEEN WITHDRAWN
A new
General Safety Orientation (GSO) Standard has been developed by Industry and will be published by Enform. The new approach will provide the opportunity for employers to choose the way they deliver a general safety orientation to their workers. This guideline replaces IRP # 16 and describes the industry expectations and the regulatory requirements for employers to provide a general safety orientation to new, young and inexperienced workers; the guideline outlines the three western provincial (BC, AB, SK) requirements and provides employers with a process to submit their general safety orientation programs to Enform for review to grant equivalency.
