At DACC's request, funding for the site was provided through the Broad Industry Initiatives program coordinated by CAPP and SEPAC. The U of C's Centre for Innovative Technology hosts this site to foster the exchange of information. Here is what you will find on the site:
- Practical technical information about fuel, oxygen and ignition sources
- Fire and explosion hazard management strategies
- Guidelines for assessing operational risk factors
- General practices to help prevent fires and explosions
- Fire and explosion case studies
- List of resources
A member of the IRP development committee has compiled an excellent presentation on IRP 18 for people new to the IRP or topic. This is a great place to introduce the subject. (Kudos! to Aaron Smith of EnCana). The presentation is available in a Flash, QuickTime, PDF or compressed file format.
