What's New in Revised IRP 5
IRP 5: Minimum Wellhead Requirements has been under revision for over a year and is now ready to be released for a round of broad industry review and feedback. The following outlines what is "new" in this release of IRP 5.
Audience: Whenever the IRP 5 committee had to make a decision on what to include in IRP 5 or how to present the material, the first audience they had in mind was the fresh post-secondary graduate working in the oil patch for the first time. As such, the revised IRP 5 contains more introductory and explanatory material than the previous IRP 5. It is not just enough to know what is recommended, knowing why is just as important. Other audiences the committee considered included project planners and managers, operators, contractors, wellhead OEM suppliers working in Western and Northern Canada, and provincial and federal regulators.
Writing Style: The final goal is to produce an IRP that follows "plain language" rules as much as possible. More Info...
