The Introduction to Safety Management Systems Guideline is designed to assist those individual companies that are in the initial stages of setting up a Safety Management System. This guideline, formally known as IRP 9, describes to oil and gas employers in a much more condensed version what a safety management system is and why implementing one is not only beneficial but also essential.
